Clubbing to the Arrival of 2011

Drew you idiot! You kite-flyer you! I am officially pissed off with you!

Other than that, I had a wonderful time last night / this morning.

Had fun introducing K.L to the clubbing scene. I didn't drink anything but I was high due to the atmosphere and the general sinking(?) feeling of the year ending and everyone getting one year older.

Cin, Bon, Jo joined us after their KTV session and we had fun club hopping in groups (someone have to look after the table), dancing wildly (more like flailing around), singing loudly to the songs and jumping onto one another.

We even saw familiar faces in the crowd. School mates, ex-colleagues... Then we spotted Gene as he club-hopped to Boiler Room too!

The countdown, the partying after, more flailing and floundering. By the time we cab home, we were shagged.

The tak-glam pictures are here~

Oh. Happy New Year everyone! And Happy Birthday to you Sungminnie and Ris~

CSI - ACM

This is a rather back-dated entry; procrastination is key but I digress. The gang (namely K.L, Pat, Drew, Gene and I) decided to spend the Halloween together this year but the plans sort of fell through in the end and we ended up with this.

Drew and I had been really excited ever since we caught the news of the C.S.I: The Experience exhibition" (in collaberation with the Singapore Science Center) on various medias (him on TV, me on newspaper.) and it is no wonder that without any plans coming up, we decide that this is it; the time to go to Science Centre again. (The last time was for the Body Worlds exhibition.)

The night's event was planned by K.L, who haven't yet joined us on any costume play escapade but would love to.

Some minor details for CSI: The Exprience:

Exhibition Dates: 16th October 2010 to 20th February 2011
Location: Annexe Hall, Science Centre
Admission Charges: Adult ($20.00) Child [3-16 yrs] ($15.00)
W/ Science Center 2-in-1 package: Adult ($21.00) Child ($16.00)
Pat ended up at the other side of town with a client and Gene could only join us at night. I packed some sushi sandwich and plain water (like a Mum again -_-"') and we headed for the event.

Drew's friend told him that they finished the entire exhibition within one hour. All I can say is, they either didn't focus (and breeze through it) or they aren't that interested in the first place. (No. I refuse to think of myself as a slow poke.)

We got good parking and the mood was good when we start out. However, I think Drew's ego streak caught up and he was rushing around while K.L and I took our time to look at the details. I have always been very keen on forenics studies (though I wasn't able to study in that field) and of course took my own sweet time to decipher, understand, "talk" to the evidences; to take in everything. My only annoyance was the fact that we couldn't take any photos.

There are a total of 3 cases (plus 1 more for you to submit your "guesses" online) for you to solve using the different technologies to interpret the many data presented to you (be it by the evidence gathered, the information you decipher from the scene, the test results you derived from) and after you submitted your "findings" the head CSI (Grissom, the guy who loves his insects.) If you did well, you'll be awarded a certificate for the case you solve. Here's how it looks like. You can get your certificates printed on the spot for some $ or send it to your email like I did.

After that we explored the exhibition some more, doing some of the activities (searching for clues, making sound deduction, learning about different angles of spatter patterns etc.) before continuing the tour around Science Center. I "accidentially" walked away from the group and did some reading up around the area before we meet-up to leave for dinner.

K.L proposed the idea of spending our Halloween night at the ACM (Asian Civilisation Museum) Fright Night. I was actually quite happy about the proposal because for one, I have been wanting to go and it's free entry and there will no doubt be cosplayers at the event due to it being Fright Night and all that.We walked over from Esplanade because we couldn't find a better lot around the area and everything was fine. The lights were spooky green and there's a huge turnout with lots of people in costume (of sorts).

There's face painting, balloon twisting and free booze (for the adults), candies and ice-cream (for the kids and the cavities immune) and lots of spooky tales and trials which sounded pretty good right?

Wrong!

I felt really disappointed because I want to go and listen to some spooky tales and after that settle down to look at some exhibits because hey, it's not everyday you get to tour the museum at night. The vibe will be different. However, the place is so congested with human traffic and the crowd was so rowdy (because of the drinks maybe?) There were very long queues at the special Halloween exhibits (the films of supernatural, and spooky tale trails); so long that they had to stop people from lining up for it after 8pm.

There were also some inconsiderate (drunk?) people who waved around too much, bump into things (and people), destroying the exhibits and losing clothes as they go. (I need to purge my eyes of some unsightly things I saw. *shudders*)

The security couldn't do anything but direct "traffic" and one of the tour guides (some witch costume wearing auntie) pissed me off by saying some derogatory stuff in the China section ("none... boring shit..." I quote.) about the artifacts. 1) I bet she is drunk and the other visitors are too polite to correct her. 2) If you are a tour guide of the ACM guided tour, the least you could do is respect the exhibits (be your job voluntary or not.)

Every where I turn there's people, the noise is through the roof and there's no way I can concentrate on navigating through that maze and still focus on taking in the history while shunning away from huge noisy crowds without losing sight of K.L, Gene, Pat and Drew.

And when I finally had enough (at one of the sections with this hands-on thing and the jigsaw we were doing had missing pieces), K.L kept apologising for the bad experience.

Ask me if I want to go to this kind of events again.

Pompeii Korean Pop Night Concert 2010

Ended up too sick to be at work so am on MC today! Thus, I should sit down properly and write about this EPIC CONCERT OF THE YEAR!!! *stop spazzing to return to weak state* Ahem, okay.

*scratches*
I didn't know what came over me and not only did I spent over $60 on medication, the antibiotics (which is stronger than the usual one I use) is causing me rashes. This just sucks. Oh, and because of the concert *fan girl "AH!"*... Ya, because of the concert on 23 Oct, I lost my voice too.

Anyway, I began 23 Oct with a backlog check at office, after which met Phing at Square 2 for Popeyes branch. Really Med, who eat Popeyes for breakfast? I was feeling a little feverish by then.

Then the rest of the girls 陆续 arrived and we proceed to National Museum of Singapore for the Pompeii exhibition. My first impression of anything Pompeii related was a humorous comic by Mizuho Ksanagi titled "NG Life" which I would recommend everyone to go see because it is so damn humorous.

That aside, my knowledge in this area equals 0. This made me rather openly receptive to any and every information I can get out of the exhibition. I was a little ruffled by the speed we were going but then again, all of us has prior engagement so I couldn't complain too much.

Some highlights of the exhibition includes the 3D timeline sequence of the eruption (which, due to certain technical difficulties, was not 3D on the day of our visit -_-), the home furnishings of a typical (rich) household and lots of videos regarding the actual excavation, preservation, indexing of the acquired artifacts.I was really fascinated by the food produces that got preserved by the volcanic ashes and the general design of the kitchen wares. (You can't blame me really, *shrugs*) Their choice of religion is also an interesting study and I had fun looking at all that statues. However, I did feel a very strong emotional vibe from that place; something that I didn't tell the girls. All that feeling of desperation and distress is making me feel a bit down. Especially when looking at those plaster casts. Even in this air conditioned area I feel hot. Luckily for me, we didn't linger. Also at the end of the exhibition, there are many resources should you want to read in depth of the topic (mind, some in their original language aka foreign). I was totally engrossed in the types of volcanic ashes that was dug(?) up when suddenly (maybe not so suddenly,) the children hands-on section caught my eye. For family bringing kids there's the usual kids interaction corner where they can do coloring and make this awesomely cute gladiator's hat. Phing had to go ask for the paper cut out of the gladiator's hat(!!!) for me because I was too embarrassed to do so but I really wanted it. We had to quickly hide it because only children are supposed to have it but the staff was kind enough to spare us one...Thank you! I hope you all can tell how ecstatic I was!!! *huge grins**deep breath* Ya, that concludes the museum visit for the Pompeii exhibition.

By the time I walked to Plaza Singapura to get some much needed H2O, I was looking sickly pale and started sniffling from all that change of temperature.

I got 3 big bottles (it was on sale) of ice mountain and proceed to Singapore Expo for THE EPIC CONCERT OF THE YEAR!!! (=x)

I found a seat at Subway and all around me people were resting their feet from either a long day of squishing with other people (Electronics Fair and Robinson Sale??) or meeting up fellow fans (OMG those different club T-shirts.) Some hogged the table (like me O.o) making last minute touch-ups to their gifts for their idols while others sit together and just.... learn fan chants.

I waited *sniffles* and waited *sneezes* and waited *coughs* for one of the guys to freaking show. (A_A)# But apparently everyone was late (was I too early?) and I could only continue seating at the same place; contaminating the scene with the flu virus.

Later (much later...) the guys finally got to the scene. Gene was sick too. We dined on wraps and hurriedly proceed to the queue, (which I kind of regretted not doing earlier because of my condition but heard it was crazy ass long after) to get into the hall.

Met Zeke and his friends near the line-up spot and we had fun chatting about the different groups we like before the security spoil my mood by making me throw away my ice mountain (I really needed the water as I was sick) which I did (with force and grudgingly.)

Belatedly I understand that it could've been caused a nuisance if people throw their bottles (at the stage of something and hurt the guests.) so I have to apologize. Couldn't help giving the pissed look at that time though.

Anyway, when we enter the premises, surprise surprise!

1) The seating really sucks. I mean how much did we pay again? 200+ for "somewhat front seats" and this is what the seating looks like. Cat 2 first row hello!?!Not even going to bother commenting on the chairs that were tied together. Nope...

2) The commercial (which was repeated umpteen times *to the tribute of Shinee's "Replay, Replay, Replay" ?*)3) Our own bad choice of seating. Sigh. I knew I was going to regret sitting behind an entire fan club... T-T

4) The ultimate failure of a sound system. Like total fail. I can't even begin to describe how fail the fail is... Don't remind me.

We entertain each other by taking pictures of our 'chopped' hand. ... and waited.

The emcees open the show and Mr Yeo B G instantly became our favorite Minister of Foreign Affairs (for being able to bring the acts in *HURRAY*). I didn't catch much of what they say (because of the fail sound system) but over all, they ended quickly enough to not get boo-ed off stage by impatient fans.

*You might want to skip the MAJOR SPAZZ and jump ahead somewhere(or something...)*

OMG FT Island!!! I know I went crazy when "I Hope"'s interlude started. They totally rocked (even with the bad sound system)!!! Sing along session ensues and really we can't ask for a better opening act.

Next up, D.NA or Da Boss. AH KARAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *eyes gleamed over* Even though he moves to the far right of me, my high pixel eyes still zoom in on him like a homing device muahahaha (OMG I sound like a mad fan girl.) I was too high from FT Island for the ballad (though I really like how it sound) and kinda recognize "Stumble Stumble" but failed at "Amazing Boy". Gotta show the boys more love in the future.
*Updated on 27 Oct with song 3's title "Amazing Boy" thanks to (x)clusive. See their event coverage here!*

Ze:A next with the super catchy Mazeltov aka Full Week Song that goes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - Saturday - Sunday... and another 2 songs.
*Updated on 27 Oct: Songs 2 and 3 are "Leap for Detonation" and "Level Up"*

I was actually half-way gone and into my second pack of tissue when Infinite came up. Caught their debut song "Come Back Again" but was lost to "Wings" and "She's Back".

And suddenly, the crowd in front of me (Shawols) all stand up and climb onto their chairs! A lot of shouts could be heard from the back like "OIE!! =@" or "Sit down!" but the screams were obviously not working and I can't see if Jonghyun was with us or not and OMG everyone is making some kinda noise and I am dizzy and my neighbor (whom I promise to sing along with if SHINEE came up) pull me up and we all got onto our chairs and I heard Gene beside me muttering about it (the song) hopefully not being "Noona is so Pretty" since it's such an old song and SHINEE came up and sing "Noona is so Pretty"...

I was high (on medication and SHINEE) and even started moving to the dance moves of "Replay" and "Ring Ding Dong" even though I am standing on a chair and shaking from all the cold and dizziness and adrenaline. I finally confirmed that there will be no JongKey action for the night and "Lucifer" came on and my neighbor and I screamed at the top of our lungs like fan girls and chanted and sang along with the boys.

IT WAS CRAZY. The note Taemin 'inherited' from Jonghyun. Tae-kido was AMAZING.

Then "Hello" came on and everyone were still standing and I couldn't even hear the boys anymore and my ears were ringing.

Just when I got down from the chair and was going to sit, I saw the pink wave. Which promptly put my feet back on the seat of my chair as S.N.S.D came up.

My whole team of fan boys (left count 3, right count 2, back count 2) and I; we belt out the hits together with the fan chants (+ random episodes of 'insert favorite SNSD member's name here') like there's no tomorrow! We had the best karaoke time of our lives singing along to "Genie" [MAR.HAE.BWA! GENIE YAH!], "Oh!" [JI.GEU.MEUN SO.NYEO.SHI.DAE A.PU.RO.DO SO.NYEO.SHI.DAE YO.WON.HEE SO.NYEO.SHI.DAE SO.NYEO.SHI.DAE SA.RANG.HAE OH!] and "Run Devil Run" [SO.NYEO.SHI.DAE RUN DEVIL RUN!]

Went high when the girls said they will be back for concert here in Singapore and even higher when fans as one chanted 'Gee' until the girls came on with "Gee!" [GEE GEE GEE GEE BABY BABY BABY BABY~] with all the fan chants and the entire place rocked!

How could the show not end in a Big Bang with Big Bang!?! (Pun intended) Everyone remained standing and Singapore fans really showed that no matter the group we will show love to all K-pop groups by singing along with Big Bang as well... The ending of the concert had surely turned into a Big Bang mini concert with them singing the most songs (7 in total: "Gara Gara Go!", "Number 1", "Haru Haru", "Lies", "Last Farewell", "How Gee" and "Hands Up") per group. <3 acoustic="" and="" ands="" aru="" br="" hands="" haru="" literally="" much="" so="" throw="" up="" version="">*Updated on 27 Oct with all song names*

Finally everyone got on stage for the finale and sing MJ's "Heal the World" and all I can say was, this is it. This is the event every Singapore K-pop fan was waiting for. So many idols in Singapore, on stage, for this one concert. It was awesome and I was awe struck and this event will remain in my "List of EPIC moments" for the rest of my life.

Now, let me finish spazzing and prepare myself for the next EPIC moment of my life (SS3!!!) by working out and staying fit... OMG OMG yah... and out.

Peranakan Museum

I had an entertaining day at the Peranakan Museum with K.L. The staff handle us with care and our guide, a retiree freelancer gave us his version of guided tour with such flair and humor that our funny bones were tickled to no end.

Though many of the exhibits are currently at Paris for tour so maybe we'll go back there again sometime later. There's actually many interesting things on display. We giggled at our guide's comment about us being able to touch some of the exhibits because, the 'exhibits' are now cardboard shots and we can touch the cardboard all we want...

I particularly like how the exhibit show the major milestones of a nonya's life and was impressed that the demo kitchen looks almost like a copy of my gandpa's! Overall, I gain a lot of understanding of how the past generation live, play, love and die.

Also currently on display, Ramayana Revisited: A Tale of Love & Adventure. Which will still be available for visiting until 27 Feb 2011.

It is a touching story about love, betrayal, good triumphing over evil, sacrifices  and forgiveness. What's more, a pass into the Peranakan Museum immediately entitled you to this exhibition for free!

Also, for parents bringing children, there's games for children to understand the story easier and many 'touching corner' where the children get to touch and feel the actual artifacts. Definitely a good place to spend your weekend with your children and gain more knowledge in the process! So do visit our Peranakan Museum; show our museums some love!

The things I do for S.N.S.D

I should have known this would happen. "Queuing will not be entertained" my ass! Korean Pop Night Concert ticket 果然一票难求。

Neng and I got to the venue at 9am, being the law-abiding Singaporean we are. We failed at being the 'kiasu' Singaporean we should be. Apparently, a queue had already started on the night before the official ticketing starts. Even police and ambulance were called in.

More crazy shit ensues when I heard from my friend that while queuing (unofficial) the staff of 313 attempt to move them away from the main building by giving out queue tags. Unfortunately, these disorientated people cannot differentiate the start of the queue to the end of the queue, thus giving a 100+ people advantage.

And then the first thing I heard when I reach that place was the 'first person' queuing over night had already gotten his 10 tickets. Holy f***tard!

Can you imagine how desperate we were? Good thing we meet Zeke on the scene and some kind fellow K-pop fans. Lucky for us, we finally got 2 queue numbers on our side. Thanks Azrul.Though the number we got was a bit... far back? Like I say, lucky for us we only need 7 tickets in total (after much calling and such).

Since they say we can come back later when its our queue number's turn, we decided to go do whatever we have to do and meet back. So, Neng and I walked to Plaza Singapura for lunch. I met Ruth there! Such coincidence.

After lunch, we walked to Suntec for the IT fair. Which was in a way crazy too. (The fair, not the walk...) That's also when I realize all the events going on (the Peranakan Food Fair, the Rock Band Competition, the IT Fair, the Korean Concert queue...)

There, I met up with Drew and Pat. We shopped around but I was horridly distracted by the constant calls back and forth (live updates from 313 lol). Much too soon, Zeke told me he's lining up. I contacted Neng and we ran all the way down (with a friend of his...) On the way, as we neared 313 a guy and a girl stopped us suddenly. *打 brake* The girl made a grab for my hand and kept saying things like "OMG you're so WHITE! Are you local!?!..." and I was totally O_O because I didn't know how to react. Lucky for me, Neng's friend just grab my other hand and pull! All the while during our 'escape route' he calls out "Sorry we're in a hurry~"

Well, we managed to reach there on time (Zeke is like 3 person from the ticketing booth) and...See ya all there!!! *Huge Grins*

After that, I walked back to Suntec and got the news that Pat got himself an Iphone 4!!! We had this conversation like 3 hours ago:

Pat: Should I get an Iphone 4?
Me: I heard it breaks easily, due to all the glass surface. And you being so careless... (I let it trail off for effect.)
Pat: But really, should I get an Iphone 4, since the company is paying and all...?
Me: You must consider, do you really need it? (Gist is my disapproval, no?)
Pat: So I shouldn't get one?
Me: Yah, most probably not...

Anyway, Ying哥 is obviously better at the persuasion game. So Pat got his Iphone 4.

Then we went for steamboat dinner; in which Sam can't make due to his broken leg, Drew almost got killed despite the care we took to separate our utensils, Pat ran back to Suntec to get his Iphone 4 (O.o), Gina got confused by speaking policies with us and Ying哥 almost got me to drink.

Also, Drew "拌屎" onto himself, got angry and slam table. I got pissed off at him on that point.

Which kind of conclude my very hectic day.

COSFEST IX

Cindy marks the start of my July calender with a meeting at her place. Got back my camera and had a chat with her; updates and stuff. Feeling light-headed from the lack of sleep and adrenalin of going to C.O.S.F.E.S.T IX. This kind of things always make my heart beat faster even though I'm not physically dressing up for it. I guess the feel gets to me.

Cindy said I flew her kite; which, is technically not true! Joined you all didn't I? Cake, mushroom and beer stir-fried prawns at a barbecue pit was... okay. I was feeling the after-effects of an adrenalin (from chasing all those cos-players for photos) crash or maybe I was feeling under the weather. The mood was off but it was supposed to be a day of happiness. Took some weird pictures to commemorate the event. So I guess that's that.

Since C.O.S.F.E.S.T IX lasted for two days, I went down again. Got to know 2 new friends; what's with my 2nd degree network getting out of control?

C.O.S.F.E.S.T IX is awesome! I could still hear Onimusha (cos-playing as Frankie of "One Piece" ) going, "I can give you G.A.R.T.S.B.Y~ " He always bring up the laughs at C.O.S.F.E.S.T. I salute his passion, man~ Thumbs up to the human train!!!

Looking forward to S.G.T.C.C and A.C.M.E~

Mini Hiatus

Someone should really shout at me for updating like once a month but I’m guessing there are only a few who read my blog and they all have first hand updates so it doesn’t really matter right?

No matter, here’s some update after the mini hiatus.

16 August, S.T.G.C.C
In which Andrew flew kites, Eugene got bored and Patrick got sand into his eyes… Well, not really but since they don’t read my blog they wouldn’t care right? Neng and I stood all throughout the cosplay competition and I thought I was going to have leg cramps. Cindy joined us a little later. We amble around aimlessly and bought lots of stuff. Not many pictures, so there’s no point posting. Oh, T.C.C for dinner was nice.

26 August, Japanese Food
Cannot remember why we met up but Cindy and I had dinner at one of Central’s Japanese restaurant. Ladies enjoy a discount on Wednesday. The set meal was quite worth it.

29 August, Steakhouse
It was supposed to be an outing with Phing, Iris and Med to celebrate my birthday. Quite a last minute thing so Med and Iris gave up. Phing and I went to have Marutama Ramen at Liang Court like I mentioned in my previous post “Eating Eating”. The standard was there and I think the Spicy Chicken Ramen tasted the same. We booked a room for two at Party World and shopped around Kino while we wait for our turn. The two of us had a lot of fun singing, no one to horde the mic, and the room given was big. They even have a leg massager inside. I was overjoyed to see Super Junior’s “Sorry Sorry” Wonder Girl’s “Nobody” and Phing felt the same with Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” and so many songs from Britney. Dinner at Steakhouse was good. The sirloin was up to standard and the serving was actually quite big. Prices are on the “deep pockets” range so if you’re not willing to fork out your money, then do not go there. The must try will definitely be their Crème Brulee. Best in Singapore. (I don’t know about JB and Batam.) On the way back, I saw Serene and her supposed new boyfriend Bang. Which is supposed to give more ammunition for the…

30 August, Alleged gossip session slash 见家长日
My daughter has the tendency to fall in love too hard too fast. It is not on my side of the family. Serene, blame it on your other father, okay? We did not meet Bang but it turn out bad anyway. Gossip and more gossip end the night.

03 September, Singing “Happy Birthday”
To two of my sayangs, Happy Birthday~ Both Pei(s) may all your wishes come true and enjoy!

05 to 12 September, Holiday
Yes, I was in Malaysia for my birthday. Work hard and the family trip seems so much more rewarding. I bought a lot of stuff, mostly books though. Since Facebook is not cooperating with the upload, maybe I will post the pictures on Multiply… Wait, let me try again.

14 to 18 September, Major Toilet Construction
Leak downstairs caused a lot of hassle. It’s a good thing Dad’s in this line or it would’ve caused a lot more trouble in the future. Trust me, I know.

Also, Happy Birthday to Fizh!!! 又大一岁了,恭喜恭喜~

19 to 20 September, Cindy’s place
Last minute thing, but since Cindy’s parents are not in so we thought it was okay. Too bad I didn’t bring my swimming gear and Cindy’s got a paper to write on. I stared at the TV and the TV stared at me. Oh 小强’s issue ensues some time between fashion programs and water boiling… Serene and I lazily watched “Ultraviolet” as Hari Raya creeps in.

21 September, Outing
Fizh 请客!It’s been so long since we saw each other. Good food at the place he worked and lovely gossips at the ice-cream parlor. Bowling for three rounds, with substandard results though Patrick showed improvements. Dinner at “Cafeteria” was… not good. The mushroom soup had a Chinese mushroom smell and taste, the spaghetti’s base sauce tasted like Campbell’s tomato soup and looks just as diluted. My steak tasted like Chinese Stir Fry and I don’t even want to comment on the other food. The few orders that would’ve gotten a pass would be the carrot and orange juice, (how do you mess up fresh juice?) the signature dessert and the calamari rings. Oh and the black forest dessert was okay too. I vow not to order main course there again.

23 September, K.T.V
Wasted quite a bit of money because I did not get into the mood, which is kind of weird due to the fact that I love singing. Tell me why?

I may be going on a hiatus after this mini one. Major events coming up will be:

1. Edwin's Wedding Dinner (26 September)
2. Shi Dong's Birthday!!! (28 September)
3. Contract End (01 October)
4. Class Start (02 October)
5. Hui Ling's Wedding Dinner (4 October)
6. Da Jie's Birthday!!! (10 October)

Umma Outing Entry

Hi everyone, this is Umma. Recently, Appa and I brought the kids to the Da Vinci exhibition at the Singapore Science Center. We woke early and packed some biscuits and juice for Boy Boy who've gone to be an OL for the morning and wake Girl Girl up and bring her to eat roti prata since she got cravings.

We waited a long time for a free parking lot and finally got 4 adult tickets. (Why Girl Girl randomly comment on family package I don't understand. She's like over age already~ *roll eyes*)

Anyway, we had a fun time there... See pictures here.

After that, we bring the kids to 台湾新旺角茶餐厅 at City Link for dinner with their Auntie Ong. Boy Boy really like the 当归鸡丝面线 but it was really embarrassing that the kids kept singing to the Top 40 Chinese hits playing in the in the diner. After dinner was spent at the water wheel taking pictures and discussing the next meet up. We set it on the 27 June. I guess onward to preparing for 27 June then...

New Year Resolution

Hmm, New Year resolution. 都初几了才来写。Oh well, I'm more traditional 么~ So writing resolution and 过年感想 together 咯.

School work is taking up my life so time past real fast. After my last class before CNY, I started the ardous task of cleaning the house. Joe helped a lot, for that I'm thankful.(He's just bored out of his mind waiting for 'O's results I guess.) Of course that means that over the course of five days, other than clothes shopping with Gene老婆, Fizh老公, Drew情妇,Starfish and Joe (thanks 老婆 for 抽空陪我 shopping the other day. 爱你的啦!) I haven't been online. Which really pisses Irvine & Shiraz babe course... 我留了埂 Wahaha... They will be so upset if they know my 老婆 & 老公 already saw that 词。*Hell yes, I'm tempting them.*

What do you think I am doing? What else? What we do every year. Anyway, on CNY eve, here's what happens:

You think 暖炉的 soup buy one 啊? Must slowly 熬的啦! So rich in flavor, you can't buy it anywhere else.
Then after food:

Photos a bit blur as requested by members present. Neng was not in the picture because he is busy at my side laughing at my lousy photo taking skills and my shaky hands after cleaning / packing / stocking / carrying stuff all afternoon. Oh well~ P.S: That brown thing there is Muffin! Cute hor...

Then, cleaning up. 要记得,不能在新年那天扫地啦,洗地的。 So, have to rush before 00:00. After that still need to 守岁。Legends says that 岁 used to be 祟,which is an imp that disturb kids on CNY night. It will go to children that are asleep and 'sayang' their head. Then, the kids will wake up stupid. (Poor kids.) That is aside of the tradition of staying up will help your parents increase their life span. I think that is why this two years I don't dare to sleep before 3am...

Of course that doesn't meant thats all. We have to prepare the gifts!

Then CNY comes and passes in a blur. (No, we did not speed pass the customs... Well maybe on the highway passing Machap...) The routine of sleep, visit, eat starts and finally I am back here again in Singapore. Poor Neng is trapped in Singapore due to enlistment but he still gets angbaos! On a side note: I watched CJ7 in Malaysia. First time I watch movie in Cantonese (very original) and that fluffy ball is uber cute! The fluffy fight dog is so funny~ I consider this a must watch!

And you all know? This 'Dicky' is a GIRL!!! lol There is also a male as female inside the show. Hint: this 'girl' like Dicky and got one judo club boy like him... erhm her.

Other stuff that happened includes:
I am so happy I got these two new albums. They brought me a lot of writing inspirations~ 推荐 - 盧學叡同名专辑 & 杨宗纬's 鸽子

Oh and my cousin had this cute little girl called Hailey. She's totally in love with my younger brother Joe! She only let selected few carry. And she hides behind either her mother or Joe when she is shy! Joe is 少girl杀手啦! She's also easily tempted with food. Her mum and I kept joking that smuggler just need food to kidnap her away... Hailey, please don't 被食物骗去,好吗?

Also, must say this even though it happened way before CNY. I got to know new people due to Cin. Must go KTV again okay we had much fun. P.S: Think her whole department's colleague know me already? Wanted to thanks Michy as well, cause she made me feel like making things for selected particulars this Valentines. Friends~ I love you all! Wahaha.

Of course reunions will be happening this week, plus visiting elders (go take angbao say go take angbao 啦!) and friend's families.

So in conclusion, CNY is a very busy event for me, and yes, all the way till 初十五。But I still enjoy the time meeting cousins we rarely see, and random relatives that we might have never heard of. Its really not a chore (I guess if you don't count spring cleaning) once you get used to it. I would love to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year and thank all elders for their angbaos! And also I wanted to wish everyone a Happy St Valentines Day since its so near. Good luck for this new beginning and may those who bet WINS that 三百二十五万! HUAT AH!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I wish for World Peace(lol) and personally I hope I pass my exams so the school can kick my butt out and land me back in the workforce. Lastly my wishes are:
贫富皆丰衣足食;
世界无天灾人祸;
老百姓知足常乐;
家人们平安健康;
祖籍可人丁兴旺;
婚姻都甜蜜美满。
The rest, as long as happy, can 了。May all had as fufiling a CNY as mine.

First day of 2008

My night(day?) ends at 4am. 3 person; and a Hong Kong Cafe. Long chats like the ones I had with 马麻(为什么我们聊把拔聊得那么起劲?) one year... Different topic though. 我们谈了和邻国的关系。

01012008. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Iris!!! 老咯:P Please don't follow 我的埂。我是不会凌晨三点起来上厕所的。(Will shut off my handphone =x) Wahaahaa, me evil right. Slept for 2 hours then, breakfast, ktv... (还有声音唱?*摇头* 频频破音呢。) Poor Eugene hit pillow already right, debriefing at 7am after the concert. So tiring.

然后,和好久不见的 Joleen 美眉来了个 Swensen 大餐。It's time for the body to rest... Right? 就 Blog 到这。Nights 啦!

最后,everyone...

Last day of 2007

Last day of 2007, 你在做什么? Went out with close buddies to 狂欢? Or with your 家人, 另一半, have dinner and greeting each other with smiles and a "Happy New Year" when fireworks settles?

我那天的行程排得满满的。Met friends for a good round of sports in the afternoon and went to get 2 Jan babies their pressies with a fellow cow'ian'. Then, fireworks; 88响礼钟; impressive dance moves 和让人时而并着呼吸,热血沸腾,又让人忍不住跟着唱的轻快音乐。

Let the pictures tell you... my movements. (like a social butterfly, I seem at multiple places one time.)

Credits to Merlinda, I love your V8 and thanks for sharing even though we didn't end up meeting each other like we promised to.

This picture, credited to channelnewsasia. Smaller and clearer, right!?!

I know I have bloody shaky hands~ 不然你要怎样!?! 咬我啦!反正你也没拍到很好的吧!*赌气*

灿烂的烟火后,是... 垃圾。这,只能说人类大多没公德心了吧。

So, if I let you choose, will you want to be at a:
1)Foam Party
2)Live concert?

Boring~

Was admitted to the famous chalet in Singapore on 18 Sept. The only word to conclude my stay is the word "ambivalent". Oh well, let pictures do the talking, see for yourself!

First, they admit you into this airy room and you get to trial test the bed you're going to sleep on. Since it is summer all year round here, everyone gets a free fan! Notice the pipes on the top of the pictures, those are water pipes. People can have foam party here. Yah, baby!Oh, and how could I forget the free booze, drip style? Think clinic!

Next, they move you to your room and "label" everyone! I'm white on red, so patriotic! By this time, I am almost out and seeing stars. All I need is the bloody moon for the flag~

After boozing daylights out, they provide painkillers for the hangover too!

PS: Do be careful of the billing. Unless you are Singaporean, your stay is going to cost a bomb! Okay, enough with the jokes. I was hospitalised after Fizh's birthday dinner. Felt rather irritated to have wasted good food. Symptoms are fever, nausea and diarrhoea. Of course, the first thing that came to my mind was the food; the mashed potatoes tasted a tad too milky. But I had been under the weather for quite a while, *quote my bro, "Geng summore?"* and well, there I was. Anyway, the results: A viral infection triggered hyperbilirubinemia. Oh well, there goes my boozing days :(

Auld Lang Syne

Let me just get this out of my system:

I'll like to thank everyone there working with me. It's been such a pleasure. Remember the days when I start out. September 1, 2005. A Thursday. Was waiting with Ed down at the lobby, feeling butterflies in my tummy. The good ol' days at Changi, where we run between 2 buildings, chill out on the roof or near Spen's smoking area @ Level 4, coincidentally meeting each other on trains, this group had so much fun. Then, now at Lor Chuan, becoming a contract staff, the once in a while farewell lunches, the interaction with the team, the chalets, the bowling outings.... Everything. Hopefully this is not good-bye.

Gosh, this felt weird. I was struggling to hold the tears back, all the way till I reached home. My Mum just had to butt in then. I shouted at her. Felt so sorry now even after I apologised. What can I say, we had a love-hate relationship -_-"' I love her so much, that sometimes, words from her just dig pass the surface too fast too hard. I cried after I shouted at her. Now, I felt better. (Thanks, Den. Oh and Cin, I love you la, that half day you take today, I ticket you back on 26 Apr OK~ :D)

天下没有不散的宴席。We might be over, but may the AMT 精神永远存在! This post is dedicated to all of you. May you cherish the memories we shared as much as I do. I thank you all.

Mabel, Joanna, Wan Wan, Jia Yi, even Vincent and Sharon. Thanks for making my job a breeze. Mabel with her ever 'chill la' attitude, Joanna for the motherly-ness (yes I still remember the shopping trip we had when we are still in Changi), Jia Yi for all her help, even when I ask non relevant stuff =x Vincent and Sharon as well, for helping out and well, processing our stuff diligently :D

LOL, think I've got to specially mention Sylvia and Laura... Why the two? We look for each other more often? Thanks for the praises, though I don't really think I deserve them. We are after all just doing our jobs. 应该的。How can I forget the rest of the buyers team, I thank you. Be you:
1) Help us before
2) Nag at AMT Support before
3) Let us chase you for stuff
4) Bare with our (insert you choice of words here)-ness when we are short-handed

And Wynnie, thanks. I love you! Life saver! (Opps) Without you, I don't know where we will be, and believe me. I think a lot of people look for you all the time, and you can still finish your job with a flourish, ending always with a smile. I look up to your work attitude man!

The temps... Without you all, we will be under more tons of work, right? I understand your hard work, I was one once. Thanks for all the help. Temps now, temps then, we temps rox!!!! RAWR! ( And eh, Ed ah, I don't think what you say will work... It's a nice thought though, me run macro, Chris help Peter with RMA, and Jermaine become support temp. Wahaha, like 降级 -_-"')

How can I forget the team!?! Roll call!

Ruth - Thanks for bearing with me. Ever since you've taken over, I think I didn't help at all, only like create more trouble for you. Sorry ah.

Iris - Sunshine... You always bring 欢笑 to the team. Thanks for making many of my days.

Huiling - We don't talk much and when we do, it's about ghost. I recall my few conversations with you. Gosh... we really never talk hor? No... No more chalet / oversea ghost ok. We should talk about other stuff next time.

Darren - Thanks for watching our backs. For protecting our rights and being the anchor. 你有大将之风。谢谢你的照顾。

Joanne - Wistron.... =x Yes, thanks for giving me POs to load when I'm feeling bored. You seems to always have the right timing la... :D

Roland - I need to thank you, I learn some of my macros from you, you know. 你很值得信赖。And you bowling skills roxs! ;)

Lynette - Ever gentle and ever willing to help. We make mistakes you also 小小声解决。Thanks for not scolding us when we do give you trouble.

Jay - From when I just start out as contract, you have been ever helpful. (not saying you not helpful before that la) Thanks for all the lessons. P.S: I really didn't see very well. But I think I did not forget her la.... Tell her I say hi OK.

Ivy - I need to thank you. For the lessons, for making us understand the concept even though we start out as noobs. For keeping us in line. For the rides home. For everything...

And Peter - For comic relief. Oh and keeping me as insanely-sane as possible. 因为有你,才有“公司风云录”的诞生。我还真要谢谢你呢!

How could I forget about Boss?

I know this morning had been really difficult for you but there's nothing you can do. I appreciate you dropping it so gently to us. This just might be the reason why I am reacting so well, staying calm even at this point of time. The words will always rang in my head. Thanks for reaffirming my capabilities at work. I was having my doubts. Promise you I will think of what to do after.... this OK. 谢谢你雇用我。一个刚出社会的小孩,什么都不懂。You show me the ropes, help me recap 做人的道理。让我从当 intern 时的阴霾化为乌有。刚开始时,心中的忐忑不安,因您的笑脸随之而烟消云散。我非常喜欢这份工作。谢谢您的提拔,我会加油的。

Gawd. 黯然神伤。The screen is practically blurring. I really should stop writing or the keyboard will REALLY get a taste of tears and even (God no!) mucus. I will now end this post with mixed feelings, a tad of tears, and a whole load of memories. 希望这只是暂别,他日能在相见。

Conclusion of the Lunar New Year

A recap from the whole Lunar New Year. Rushed as usual this year, though instead of having dinner at one of the Woons, we ended up at this fancy Chinese restaurant. Guessed the families are getting busier than usual. Anyway, the food portion was B.I.G! Something related to having a friend who open restaurants I guess.

Stayed up all night, doing work and surfing. My thinkpad might just be having some problems man. Anyway, as I was saying, staying awake; hope its really like traditions say. 添福添寿 for your parents. (And no, my parents did not order me MacDonald's...) Morning comes and off to visits! First stop will be Uncle Roy's house. ( Like every year.) The three brothers' families did what we did every year. Family photo! Yes, its that time of the year again. Then, the usual (again *roll eyes*) till we got into Malaysia.

The trip is more of a rush than anything this year! We drop of at Malacca for the night, 捞鱼生 and steamboat style, played with new nieces and nephews, slept at 3am, woke up at 11am to the sound of TV and kids laughing. How cute. Then its a long drive up to Selengor, praying, 捞生 again (without fish this time) then gathering our stuff, with aunts on tow, headed for K.L.

Yes, we 捞鱼生 again, then, majong sessions starts, the adults seems to be aching to play, and Aunt Maggie set such a high bet, I was like oh my gawd! 3 dollars for a 碰 and 4 for a 杠!?! And the 番? 花? I don't even want to count. The kids, mainly Neng, Sheng, Kuan and I, went off to play pool. Ended up early course parents were locked out. ( Keys with us) I stayed up to watch Initial D after. Slept at 6am and awakens to the delicious smell of stir-fry. (Getting sick of heavy stuff) Had noodles for lunch (look at the time.) and its off to Singapore.

Got back in time for dinner at Uncle Jeff's. Casual chats about Bing Ling's delivery's date, the senior Woons upcoming trip back to hometown Hainan Island and how there was a 13 cars + 1 line crash on the highway's shoulder from Malaysia back. (12 cars, 1 tow truck, and 1 dead engine. Turns out, they send 1 tow truck and 2 after, since the tow truck got crashed into at the road shoulder while traveling to the car it was supposed to rescue. TT2 ended up towing TT1 leaving TT3 to the rest of 13 cars. Such sad case.)

Then, a week of work. 拜年 @ work, and of course, how could I forget the 捞鱼生? Yes, again. The food was alright I guess. Rooms of improvement? And yes, the service for our table was reasonable. Week ends and the date is here for parents to go China. Couldn't send them off on that day since, I don't drive, and their flight time at godly early hours. It was a Sunday man, who wakes so early!?! Anyway, did send Jess though, her flight is at around 9am so we gathered at 7am. By the time I went home, was rather burned out. But promises were promises, up to pangya for chats and a (few) long rounds of 18 hole golf.

And we arrive at this week, night shifts are a torture when you have to wake your brother up for school, do housework, cook lunch, etc. Yes, I didn't sleep well and the computer, being turned on for so long decided to go on a strike. Stupid I know, but the slow network and sleep-deprivation took a tow and frustration serve as the key to the torture I put myself through last weekend. You know the task bar at the bottom of the screen, when tasks starts popping up rapidly the second time of the day, i tried unplugging the network cable. I was being stupid and the thinkpad hanged. So I tried to shut down, to no avail. So, I pressed the power up/down button. And I can't detect the network after I reboot. I tried everything! (ok, until I called Darren and he enlightened me to call the help desk, not everything >_<) I called the help desk till 1+ 2am early Saturday. Poor Chris had to cover me. Then Saturday comes and I could finally get through, guess what happens? The friendly tech guided me through a series of stuff I did yesterday and concluded that my network adapters got corrupted. (Why didn't I think of that?) So after downloading and reinstalling it (following the user manual) I realise three things.
1. My sound is missing.
2. I can access internet.
3. My business network is still down. (seems unable to catch the correct IP address)
I got frustrated when I tried calling the help desk again and my hand phone gives me the number not in use sign. I got Chris to help me call and he told me the line is engaged. Same thing happens on Sunday. My parents, back by then was worried that I will actually destroy the computer. In fact, the end of Sunday, both my brother and I went crazy ( his "My Received Files' seems to contain a corrupted file, which one I didn't know and if kept hanging the computer. Oh and that's where all the music files were situated...)
I got tired of this, so I was thinking of coming early to work, hoping the IP address grabbed from company network might somehow helps. And guess what? I'm stuck outside the office in the toilet typing all this. Turns out, the door only opens at 8am. I reached at 6am. Shit. ( Why the hell do they have a main door and makes the rest of the doors locked at 7pm when the main door does not even open at any time!?!)
-- Pre-typed in the toilet at 6:14am, 05 Mar, Monday. --

Quite a bit of Update

In one short sentence, I screwed up. Big time.

1) Meet up with the gang yesterday. Lots of updates from Serene. Unfortunately, Pei lost track of meeting date (sweat dropped) and couldn't make it. Cin got sick last minute. Gastric flu*... (frowns) Ge and Jie went strolling down Singapore River and meet us ( Ser and I) like when we are about the finish the fabulous Dory Fillet. Went Mac after a lot of places. Drop dead tired today.

2) Ge and Jie's ROM. Do keep free on 7 July. ( Erhm. Ge didn't propose!!! He just give Jie the ring and.... there -_-"')

3) I chalk up to 4 days of being sick (MC) and my sore throat is still not really healing.

4) I made my Mum angry by saying something stupid last night. Well, I was drop dead tired! I swear I didn't do it on purpose. It was just a off handed remark on *blushes*

5) New Year Gear:
Socks --> New socks 3 for $5.
Shoes --> Think have to get ladies heels... Shoes are too darn expensive.
Pants --> $44.50 + $ 29.90. Oh well, a change of wardrobe, my old jeans are all too big now.
Shirts --> $30 ($21 after haggling) and $40 (Sports. Brand. Expensive. It was on sale.)
Wallet --> S10. Bought 2 years ago. Still considered new!?! Yupps, didn't use it yet. But time for change me thinks.
Specs --> Oakley dream putting on hold. $100
*Ahem* --> Still had new old ones. lol.
Total adding up to: S491 (Including ahems, 1 new soccer jersey and my brother's specs.) I overspent! Duh~

6) First ang pow of the year, I got it yesterday. Angmoh's Cai Shen is so.... interestingly cute. Nice healthy pink shade yah~ lol

7) Met with Gene, Pat and Drew. Like some time ago. Drew need to get his car's door fixed. Gene should do more "don't ya" to Pat! *ho ho ho do more* Patrick should get map to location training. We should meet up with Fizh soon. Reunion dinner no. 2 in schedule?

8) My villagers died.

9) I want Pangya A Cash to dress up my Character! *RAWR!*

10) I wasted my time on Cake Mania.

The End

*Or not if you decides to read this. The extracted conversation I had with Cin last night via SMS.

Cin - Im sick
Jon - Got see doc?
Cin - Ya m at the clinic seeing doc
Jon - Cfrm not comin?
Cin - Yah
Jon - >_< aiyoh. Ok u take care ah
Cin - Yupz wil de u guys enjoy k

I conclude that gastric flu is an old creature that moves very slowly.

My Body went on a Vacation

Doctors... I had been staying away since... what last year? The last time I saw a doctor was... when that stupid VCD Rental sign board hit me and Da Ge on the head. Hospitalised for 2 days.

2 Days.... The most I get for medical leave since.... What, the beginning of my life? The last serious case was the extreme high fever; eons ago, and that, I recover in one day. Yupps, a bloody cold shower is all it takes. My Dad said I almost woke the whole block of patients in that hospital with my howling. (Sheesh, I think he's such a drama-mama sometimes la)

Here I was, wishing for a more healthy lifestyle during my birthday (also quite long ago) and there I go felling sick -_-"'

Working out was part of my life, still is. More veggies and fruits too. No more smoking and even away from drinking since, the last party with my colleagues! Woohoo!

BUT! I still got bitten by the sick bug. *pouts* Quite strained too. Let's see, overexertion, conjunctivitis and influenza... Luckily I didn't go for the ktv session after the company bowling outing *phew* Think I will pass the germs to my colleagues if not, I don't think it will only chalk up to a 3 days MC. Anyway, I'm back to work on my 3rd day MC. Muahahaha

I am sounding so gentle you wouldn't believe its me. Luckily my eyes healed in good time. I couldn't see on the 23 and 24 Jan! Now I realise what it must have felt to be blind. I feel so... helpless. Really had to be careful when I walk. I kept my hands out-stretched for that 2 days. So kids, take good care of your eyes! Now when I work, my hands move a lot faster, cause I'm used to it, but when my eyes try to follow, I get giddy *sweat drop*

This doctor quite nice, but he kept telling me he never see any patient with such a sore throat. Really that bad? I changed the course of meds like twice. It helps that it reduces the fever. 41.7 C - Think I almost died? After 6 panadols and a really icy freezing cold (you get the idea) shower, it dropped to 38.6 C... and went up again after 2 hours of sleep. The torture!

Maybe I should take more MC... Seems like trying to stay away from the doctor only means that the doctor gets to find more problems with me one-shot. And from the fortune telling book my Mum's been reading? This year is worst than last.... Time to prepare for more sick leave???

AVLE aka Another Very Long Entry

Lolx, it took so long to write coz I'm kinda buzy with work right about now~ (Can still blog huh ~.~) Anyway, here an update of my life starting from 31 Aug 2005~

Random update for food: Fries and interesting drinks @ Galilee and Friends, Salmon bowl @Yoshi, Korean food @ Marina, Finger food & corn soup(!) @ MOS, Roti Prata & Dao Hue Zui @ near Park Lane Mall there, Fish & Chips @ Phin's, Swensen (Feast!), Chilli Crab @ some_irritating_place (-_- more information later...), Ice Milk Tea @ MOS (again?) & Coffee @ Starbucks...

Title: Hectic? Dont think so~

"Hectic" day. Lolx. Went to Orchard there de Adecco coz Mi was called down for an interview~ Poor thing, the troubles of a PR... Neway, we met real early and -_- we went to check out the movies coz Mi and Di wanna watch movies on Sat... Not satisfied with the timing given by cine, we went down to Galilee to have "Go Bananas" (a bit too sweet), "Pineapple Cooler" (Nice drink, cool mug~) and a "Crink-cut Fries"(OMG O_o so big portion...) It was an enjoyable meal of course~ After the boring interview, we went down to PS to catch Red Eye. Overall a cool movie, pretty well planned. I love the part (the very last part) where the female lead told her hotel's patrons to **** off! lolx Wouldnt be trying that soon~

01/09/05
Title: New Faces, New Job, Old Relations

Went to the company today for my 1st day of work.(like finally) I was pretty nervous as I had a bad 1st day experience right before this job. Jittery and jumpy~ However, the people there proved my worries unfounded. They are really great =D Gotta know new people, and I got a feeling this will not be as stressful as my past employment... Whatz more, I had a new collegue coming in on today too... Lolx 2 newbies going to work = Tons of fun~ Lolx any way, I've gotta don female wear!!! (-_-)///
Start doing the work and realise I'll be pretty free... hmm... at least, before 10am anyway. Meet up with da gang(it almost took forever to organise this outing -_-) and finally got to satisfy my craving for korean food~ (Im not the only 1... lolx) After that, its our usual hangout... you guessed it~ Pacific Coffee Club. We sat and talked till about 11:45pm. Everyone's gotta work the next day so yah~ Thats it, EOTD... ... ...

02/09/05
Title: Negative Reputation

Okie, you guys know that I dont really wear female wear right~ I did today and guess what, I killed myself. (I'm being dramatic.) Met Ris for dinner tonight and she decided to go Phin's coz her friend is working @ Cine (one of those insurance thingy) and she need to pass him some things. Anyway, after dinner, I bumped into ( I really mean bump into *bumpz*) Mervix and Trev (think so lah, I was busy escaping... */swt*)
*Cries* Met with Ris' friend after that and after chatting, we went shopping coz I wanna buy some clothes suitable for office (I dont have lah~ all guys clothes in my wardrobe -_-) and we ended up eating (again!?! Coz, Ris want, cheesy saugage, Long Xu Tang, Baked Potato with Cheese and many more~) I refused to subject my stomach to cheesy torture~ I skipped~
Anyway, I saw an old buddy from secondary school and then realise that he's also a primary school mate of Ris~ Singapore is so small~ Had a chat but... forget to get his number~ (No no, not bo xim juz forgot~ I swear!)
Went bossini after that but no suitable ones (sad) and was about to go FOX when we realised it was closed! Sharkz! I gotta get PC a present... -_-
In the end, after I went back, I sat at the com till 11:59 (did something special for my two birthday babies *lolx* and I cant get to meet PC anyway coz she's 'booked') and send it to them wishing them a Happy 20th Birthday~ Happy B'dae~ PC and PY...

03/09/05
Title: BIG Expenditure

Met Cin after I woke up @ 11am~ Me no work mah. Went to Commex... ... It was crazy. We squeezed in and squeezed out in 2 hours... Serious and we are not moving on our own~ Met Leslie there, *arch eyebrows* didnt believe my eyes coz he doesnt seem to be the type to take part time jobs, summore at Commex.
Finally got her stack of CD-R this Cindy~ Was like, "20~" "huh!?! $20? Good deal! Cin can buy! I wan also~" Then realise it was selling at $28. It was cheap but not *that* cheap either so, yah... Feeling a bit stupid now. The exhausted us, after being pushed out, took a cab to PS, actually wanna go Starbucks again but its full so we jumped to a more tame outlet. MOS was okay I guess, we had nuggets, milk tea, corn soup and apple pie. It was a shopping spree after that... Bought a top @ Gio and also those minatures @ an expensive $49.50 for 5 bottles. Cin use perfume pay $$ hor =X *lolx, no lah nvm de~ But me WAN bottles!*
Went home to have a light dinner and when Dad went over to Uncle's Joe and I 'chiong' down to pak pool @ Park Lane Mall then had roti prata and dou hua shui~ Got back in time~ Lucky 0_0v

05/09/05
Title: Bye Sin Lan~

Our mentor (see that Sin Lan~) Sin Lan will be leaving us for another company CCT Tech (I think) and the team organised a party to send her off and welcome 3 people into the team... Title: I wanna complain!

Seriously, I'm getting a little pissed off with the servicing attitude of a particular seafood restaurant in Pasir Ris area~ I mean, we do this every year, at least once, cause if its anyone's birthday in our family we will go to eat chilli crab (most prob ard that area.) So much so that its already a tradition. However, the place we regularly patron was under reconstruction and will only be starting its business again on the 12th September 2005, so we went to the other place we 'regularly' patron (nah, not really. However, we do regularly patron its other branch located at *bleap* and we really like it there cause the manager with the funny cartoonish marine life tie is so entertaining and a really good host.) and happened to had the worst day of my September~

They gave me a windy spot (you know how much I hate messing up my hair~) and my chair is almost sticking into the other patron's table (btw, its occupied by a Korean-Jap couple with a very kawaii kid~) not only that, that area is full of kids going to the washroom and its like my way is the only way they can pass thru( like real. *roll eyes* I mean how can they pass by when my chair is ****ing stuck to that table!?!) Naughty little things actually dirtied the back of my chair and you guess it~ My shirt also dio~ *Sianz* They change our plates at wierd timings and take away dishes before we even finish.

Worst case: The Ang Moh sitting in front of us almost got his whole plate of chilli crab kept away. Aunties working there were like shouting at the cleaner and go, "He jud go toi-let! Toi-let on-iiii!" But too late lor, cause the cleaner auntie already stacko his plates together le. Then she panicked cos the guy is coming back... I was like "what the f***" cause you know what she did? She put the plates she stacko-ed on the chilli crab back on the table and then put the chilli crab there as if nothing's happened! I was like *fainted*

The guy who ordered for us, (we saw him like four to five times since August cause of the reconstruction so he should know we quite regular mah~) acted as if we were like really poor( really I mean what up with "Why don't you have this as a replacement, its cheaper [even though that dish is still available cause I saw it being served to the other table when we were having our chilli crab] and everything also "Zuo Xiao De" [translation: make small one] !?! I had it then and there!) and keep offering us to change to simpler dishes. Also he kinda get us the wrong dish when we ordered the 'Yu Ni Dai Zi' and insisted that he is right. (Nope I didnt argue with him. I was busy on the phone talking to Cin) The chilli crabs had missing parts (claw and the fingers thingy) and he forgot the 'Qian Zi' I mean how can you forget the Qian Zi!?! Use teeth arh? You try use your teeth against Sri Lanka Male Crab lah! Fu!

Then in the end, we ordered dessert (we thought it was still early so we ordered the Oh-ni coz usually if too late they will say sold out le. Else we usually order like twice the family size of other desserts...) and he told us it was on the house. (Think happy right? Got 10 person share of Oh-ni to eat....) Guess what? On the house = small portion. It doesn't even fill up half of my bowl and it was this small shark fin bowl... -_- What the, and there was only 5 bowls!?! My brother was like, "Jiez, there's still cake in the fridge right? Still got maggie mee at home right?" While my brother is busy making that comment, I was busy glaring at the service crew who *accidentially* drop half of a scoop of the Oh-ni onto the table. (I mean since I'm staring she got so freaked that she doesnt even bother to apologise or even scoop that Oh-ni up and put it into the empty bowl like what she did to the Ang Moh and just booted.) [Btw, the bowl was so damn big. Dunno for what also....]

In conclusion, they spoilt my after birthday Birthday Feast.... I hate them *boo hoo* (nah I just felt like killing them~ lolx) I swear I'm not going to that branch to eat again... As in ever~

Went NTUC after that to buy stuff to bring to work to eat (lolx so many 'to') and well that concludes the day... Chatting with Cin on da phone now... Ears hurting~ lolx waiting for 'Wo He Jiang Shi You Ge Yue Hui 3' to start~ Ja'
