Getting in touch with Nature
It was really quite a wonderful day out. I arrived at Kranji station mid-day and was hoping to have a wonderful day out exploring the
Kranji Countryside.
The Kranji Countryside is one of the rare areas in Singapore that is set aside for agricultural development; where farmers can grow their own produce for cash, gives the general public a place for recreation and educating people on conservation.
Feeling 'green', K.L and I had decided to give this place a try. I print maps and planned routes ahead of time (I know I am very bad at directions so I should erhm, make up for it by beeing prepared?) and being excited, arrived early to scout the shuttle bus area for more information.
And K.L called and told me she's late. -_- What to do other than people watching and studying that shuttle bus route known as "The Kranji Express". The route starts out from Kranji MRT itself and then goes to
Tropical Aerogreen / Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve --);
Hausmann Marketing Aquarium --);
Gardenasia (Nyee Phoe Group) --);
Max Koi Farm --);
D'Kranji Farm Resort --);
Bollywood Veggies --);
Hay Dairies --);
Jurong Frog Farm --);
Fireflies Health Farm and back Max Koi Farm back the previous route to MRT. Along the route are many other smaller farms and aquariums that are accessible by walking from the shuttle stops.
There was a couple lurking around the signboard at the shuttle service point and I was quite agitated because K.L was late for around half an hour and I did not see the bus service during that time. I was kind of wondering if the two of us has the skills to actually navigate into that area we want to explore when the couple approached me and ask if that was the start of the Kranji Express. I nodded and they just lingered around like me. Feeling adventurous, tried to plan a route so that we can explore as many place as possible.
K.L finally made it down and she was asking me if I need anything. Well, its hard to need anything when you've packed sandwiches, water, map... you get the idea. All I really need was a toilet in case I need to... go.
The elderly couple boarded the bus with us. People, we can use ez-link! And you only need to tap once. A standard charge of $2 applies. So if you board inside the Kranji Countryside you don't have to scan your card anymore~ The elderly couple ask the bus uncle lots of questions, some he can answer, others he can't. I end up answering some and even gave my extra copy of map to the couple.
The first stop that really caught my eye was near the Thow Kwang Industry where they have lots of pottery and porcelain. But K.L wants to stay on the bus more to see the various places before deciding where to alight. I looked at the time and decided that I should just go with the flow; we wouldn't be able to see the entire place with what little time left anyway.
The elder couple got down at some aquarium and we proceed on to...
Bollywood Veggies which K.L really want to go see.
The first thing we saw when we alight at the outer gates were the guides.
There had been a light drizzle while we are on board and the grounds around us is a little wet but there are still lots of parents with kids in tow milling around the place. Following the route we walked down the main aisle passing(12,11,10,9,8,7) the Poison Ivy Bistro to look at all the trees, fruits and flowers up on display. The smell of the place is really earthly due to the rain and I am reminded of the times when I play at my Grand-father's backyard with all the chickens and herbs growing haphazardly. Or the time when my grandfather bring me out on trips to his plantations back in Malaysia.
The sun, warming us up after the light drizzle.
The eco toilet that caught our interest.
A close-up on the notice at its door.

Unfortunately we are unable to try it out as it is "Under Repair"
The other thing that caught my eye and bring a chill breeze around is this:

I can so imagine a little girl sitting on the swing with a doll in her arms, humming to songs that only she can hear herself. Eerie factor 80%!
Then there's the banana trees... There's a lot of banana trees here. All different bananas.

Does this remind you of all those Malay horror stories you heard from the radio in the middle of the night? A bit. But I was more reminded of all the lovely bananas I've had since young. (It's not really bright daylight now so stop thinking about creepy stuff, you idiot!)
I had lots of fun walking around, taking pictures and well looking and all the greenery. Kudous to hunger pangs, I rejoin K.L and we went to the Poison Ivy for some of their specialty dishes. The dishes in the cafe is cooked in a no MSG, low salt style. We ordered a banana curry to be shared between the two, and the really special Moringa leaves tempura and flower tea.

Apparently, Moringa is known as the miracle tree due to the nutritional value of its leaves and roots. The leaves of the tree contains 4 times the amount of calcium in milk and 7 times the amount of vitamin C in carrots (RAS 2009).

As we were about to leave, I saw this really nice sign that I think Cin would need:
As we proceed to the outer gates, we met the elderly couple again. They waved at us and we had friendly chit-chat for awhile and when we talked about what we've explored in the Kranji Countryside, they told us this was their last stop and the previous bus driver uncle told them that was the last available shuttle for the day. O.o
Okay. You know that trick that people uses in the outback? The thumb sign that signifies the need of a free ride? lol The couple had been doing that at the gates for a couple of minutes before seeing us. I kind of face-palmed mentally.
However, we need to offer a big thank you to the elderly couple. They went back in and spoke with total strangers that drove there and actually manage to secure us all a ride out to the nearest MRT station!
The driver is a expat Dad in his thirties, who's son is working part-time in Poison Ivy cafe. He drove his son to work on weekends and would go fishing until its time for his son to knock off. Then drive him home. (The son is so fortunate.) We chatter idly until it was time for us to alight. Thank you again! (These are the kind of people that make you feel that there's still hope for humanity.)

Shopping in KL
All of us got some stuff, but still did not find the wallet of my dreams. Is it too difficult to make a wallet that is smoothed, onyx glossed to a perfection with coin pocket with button, no zips, a metal part and enough card slots? It's not like I'm asking for the impossible.
"What did you get?", you asked? Books, comics, bags... only 1/3 items on my list I bought, many that I didn't listed too. What does it says about me???

Attached to his limbs; Kids
Nothing major, just want to update on the food we ate and my cute little niece and nephews. Kids are hard to capture on still when you have a injured main hand and your brother had a midget permanently attached to him.

The nonya restaurant that gain popularity from Little Nonya's publicity. Mind the crowd and book before-hand if you hate waiting.

Rather famous 饼家 in Melaka itself. Loved for motto "先做现卖". It's next to the satay chelop store both Sheng and I love.

Highly recommend their 鸡丝豆沙角。

99 Seconds; Red Man
Crazy day, another day spent on the road. Or I should say wasted? The traffic in Melaka was horrible.It took another 3 hours to get from entering Melaka to my aunt's place. Note to self, try not to go there when it's public holiday. I mean, had no one ever thought that 99 seconds traffic red light an inefficient prop? Small road also 99 seconds, big road also 99 seconds, got car also 99 seconds, no car also 99 seconds. Small road turn big road or big road turn small road also 99 seconds... *sweat-dropped* This should be the govornment's priority for the developement in Melaka instead of land reclaimation. I mean we managed with such small piece of land and our traffic is not that bad... What's the use of all that land if you spoil the tourists appetite by giving them a lousy road experience? Learn automatic traffic controls, man...

城市少女乡下溜狗记
I am worried for my cousin. He is taking his Pri 6 exams this year and he cannot even converse in proper English. Wish I could've stayed longer to teach him some. Interactive studies by learning lyrics would be a good idea.
Hurt my hand bad. My father, being totally sarcastic, told me to write a compo about it titled 《
城市少女乡下溜狗记》 bleh.

I missed Cher Hao by a hair's breath in Selangor. When will we meet again? Heaven knows~ As I was writing, some dumb fuck driver (WRE 7[-2+1+1]) nearly cause us to crash. Learn to drive, idiot.

When Cousins Come To Play
I could not tell you how many places of interest we saw; nor how much we actually see of Singapore itself. Yes, I am such fail as a tour guide. However, what I can tell you is... We ate non-stop. Between Hao's amazing appetite; Kuan's good stamina, Neng's ability to fight for the tab and my incredible 'sense of direction', I bring you, "When Cousins Come To Play!"
This is supposed to be the foot note but this is my blog so I can put it where I want it. I hope this complaint actually gets to you Mr. Tan Cher Hao. Not only did I broke doctor's orders and drank like too much, I put my ever-so-flimsy slimming plans (okay maybe a no over-eating, exercise sometimes plan) on hold and threw caution to the winds, joining you in your endless eating spree. I gained 4 freaking kilos because of you; idiot. You'd better be thankful and treat me nicer the next time I visit you, vice versa. Or else!
19 JulyThat aside, with people to do(?), places to see, let's get on with the show! Them Chers made it to Singapura 19 July with our Shen Shen in toll and I worked a bit as Cindy run her fats away at the Shape Run. Unfortunate for me, there's bread to consider and really I haven't have much dough left. Excited to hear about her adventure, we decided to meet after my family dinner. Hao and Kuan took showers, napped and we had a huge dinner to welcome them here. I left the house for Cindy and we walked around to Marina Square and City Link before walking back to TCC, which is kind of like our usual coffee place. We were just seated when I spotted the four guys near HMV door. Did I tell you they were tall? Formal introduction's aside, we chatted about stuff and had a bit of dessert and drinks; me acting like a true TCC fan and introducing them the good and the to-keep-away(s) on the menu. Neng went HMV and got his Girl Generation new mini album "Tell Me Your Wish". Feeling artsy, we went over to "Durians" for exhibits and the Mr. Merlion, who had an accident with lightning and the three new lighted walkie talkie at sea.
Mister Merlion, who went Yun Nam Hair Care to salvage his bald patch.
Yun Nam Hair Care works!
Did I tell you I love you, Cin? Thanks for being there, you made being the butt of jokes bearable. We went straight for the MRT station after all that camwhoring. Oh and I get to explain to Kuan how it's impossible to miss the ERP 'In Operation' sign. Then it's Braddell Mac for supper. We introduced them the culture of studying in 24 hour operated deli because I saw Pei Xuan studying there and we had a general debate on studying in such diners / coffee houses before getting our butt to order food. Over burgers, fries, nuggets, wings, apple pies, coke, ice teas and ice milos, we discussed about the future prospect of Singapore and Malaysia. Hao's experience in the U.S was really insightful and the talks about the economic downturn and developing countries and China raising up and the big guns just made my head dizzy. Or maybe that's the lag of sleep from trying to complete my shifts before they get here talking. Or the food overdose. I don't even know anymore. Conclusion as 19 turn 20: My stomach wouldn't get any rest as Hao express his enthusiasm for 小锅面,点心,油条 and food in general on our walk home.
20 JulyToo much to digest, I read through a couple of reports before felling asleep. Shen Shen and I shared the room while they were here and maybe I should just mention that I am a light sleeper. I woke in time for breakfast and Hao was amazed to see me up before him. We joined Mother and Shen Shen at 太空船巴刹 for breakfast. Hao was disappointed because 小锅面's stall wasn't open. On the menu instead was 萝卜糕,猪肠粉,鱼片汤,斋米粉,甘蔗汁,laksa and nasi lemak. Muffins for take-away. There's this thing about staying in Toa Payoh; when the Sun is up, there's sure food to be found.
After breakfast, I was online for facebook while the aunties freshen up for shopping. Precious time needed for my stomach to digest the food intake. When lazy bums Neng and Kuan finally woke, we headed to Orchard since Neng got his friend to slack with us. The link was already open so we followed and it lead us to 鼎泰丰。 I saw Hao looked longingly at the menu at the door and face palmed. Slowly, I diverted his attention and we went to Starbucks for my much needed caffeine. Our plan was to walked down Orchard all the way to Bugis to Sim Lim Square for some gadget hunt. With new malls up, our progress was slow. Speaking of new malls, there's Orchard Central. Me thinks this place is upper crust. Sofas for shoppers that got tired, posh shops, expensive looking furnishing... I also think I've found the only Geláre left in Singapore that's not taken over by E.C. Tuesday's waffles anyone?
It's rare that I walked on this side of the road.
As we walked towards the entrance of Istana, Hao kept interrupting my concentration on the car that drove into the entrance with questions like, "Is this where the president lives?" There goes my chance of seeing Mr Nathan... if he's in the car. These questions that I've answered every time we pass by the Istana! Once and for all, it is the official residence and office of the President of Singapore. Now will you stop asking me this question like for the one hundredth and one time. At P.S, Samsung Omnia 2 launch. Also, Singapore Food Fest, peranakan style. Right between P.S and The Atrium. Spent some time there looking at Neng's next phone-of-choice contestant number two. (Number 1 is Omnia HD) before moving on to The Cathay (not before stopping outside Sakae looking drooling-ly at their sashimi special.) Aston for lunch and what a big lunch it was. Sorry no pictures, too busy eating. We covered much ground after that, moving down Cityhall. Went Peninsula Shopping Center for shoes. People take note, there's a LMTEDT shop in the house, yo. Do drop by for your pair of trusty sneakers anytime. Then it's Funan for games and we got home in time for dinner and “爱也好,恨也好”。 Our family glued to the TV, making the visitors wonder about our pass-time seriously. TV marathon later, we explored Marina Barrage. On the way in the car we sang random songs played on the radio and talked military. Nothing confidential I assure you.
We went down and took a long stroll. The weather was nice and windy, with the undertones of moist and salt from the sea. I took my time taking pictures and enjoying the breeze. We saw a lot of couples, some soloist using the net, groups having picnic-afters; playing cards. I can see in my mind's eye evening sunsets and jogs along the bridge. It was romantic until I caught up with the boys.
21 JulyWe were totally lost driving back. Ended up in Clementi, how bad was that. Late for home anyway, someone suggested supper. 兴旺茶餐厅 it is then.

On one end of the libra was sleep, the other my weight. Seeing the way the scales tipped, my heart wept as I threw the virtual scale away. I fear for my waistline. In the house, it was a blissful 5 hours without food. Then Hao woke up. We solve ez-link matters at Toa Payoh Central. That can of worms. Good thing I dragged him to Popular for a while more before BreadTalk tempted the saliva out of him. Though I talked him out of that, we ended up in Bishan 鼎泰丰。 Some times, you just cannot win. 一笼这个,三笼那个,可想而知,又一圈了。

Neng and Kuan slept in and join us late. The breakfast ended like lunch and cost just over $100. I walked out of the place bloated and saw Hao headed straight for BreadTalk. 连吃带打包。Impressive. By the time we reached home to change clothes, he only have a "smart-aleck" left. That was gone in a minute.
Freshly fed, Bugis here we go. Explore and snooped. Walk right into the trap and the slip of tongue caused me another kilo? 南翔馒头店。We saw 蒸笼 abundant and ordered more food. By then, I've already leave my life in the hands of fate. Can you believe the 下午茶's spread? Not to mention after that we went right over the streets for 甜汤。我都饱得快吐了。
The dessert store is across the street.
Prior engagement with Cin. We are supposed to meet for lunch at Ghim Moh I think, 虾婆河粉 and Mongolian food。Since we cocked up the timing, we met for dinner at The Central Clarke Quay. Lost the sense of direction and arrived half an hour late. Major high was the shoe sale! But damn it! Why they don't have my size? Dinner at Waraku de Pasta. we got a cute waiter and the seats have a really good view of the Singapore River.
Ponders over what to eat.
Nice night view, bad jittery fingers.
Code Blue for Cin means she's going to have an early night, that leaves us to explore... The
Clarke Quay Food Street. Featuring traditional Straits Chinese cuisines, peranakan dishes, local delights and lots of beer, we had fun walking around looking at the people enjoying themselves as they chow down. Moving on, since the night is still young; we explored pubs and clubs and everything caught in between.

Moving on to a more quiet spot, otaku(s) will love this place called Cosafé @ CHIJMES 01-11. See Neng's smile for prove.

Please, please do try out their garlic bread and calamari rings. Total bagus. Also known as the place where I defy doctor's orders. So I am not telling how much we drink... Okay, maybe just one, remember the R.I.P after the series of drinks I've had; making me faint? A milder version, ladies and gentlemen, I introduce you to: Seven Sins~

Hao and I kept talking about the Bohemian revolution because of Green Fairy in our drink. Gosh, all that absinthe. Alcohol made me talk big and I took pictures with the ultra kawaii waiteress / maid. She don't walk. She bounces. Her name is Apple. We nicknamed her "the bouncing apple".
22 JulyFor a moment I was in the toilet and heard the usual puking and thumps. When I came out we had a show put on. There's this drunk guy and his girlfriend who took a trishaw ride and he took the horn from the uncle and started pressing the horn at him. Just ask either one of us who saw it to describe it to you. It was freaking funny. After that, we want to make sure we don't look too drunk so we walked down near Park Lane to have 豆花。 The walk made Hao realize just how much food he haven't tried.

Anyway, 豆花 and talks of being old. -_-"" Kuan and Hao amazed that it cost less than $10 to get home via taxi even with surcharge. Hao was totally gone after he went to toilet. The rest of us shamelessly stayed in Sheng's room to chit-chat until he only have a two hour nap before going to school. Neng kept nodding off. Finally sleep claimed me and it was late when Hao and Kuan wakes. Neng was still asleep so we headed to market for 小锅面 and the Cher's so called 一口包。

Slacking and taking our own sweet time, we went shoe hunting and everyone was happy with their purchases. We even saw Auntie Roy along the way. Funan game hunt failed so Illuma for dinner. The maids at Cosafé way cuter. But we have fun with the fresh ordering experience.
Hmm... I wonder where this leads to.
The chief that is cool with his cooking utensils throwing act.
We even caught a glimpse of the Japanese Fencing Team in Singapore for Youth Olympics. We are all impressed by their mask wearing skills. Like really respect.
Hao wants to learn from Neng the art of catching soft toys and he paid a lot of school fees that night and got nothing. We went home after a long time at arcade as I fought valiantly over the urge that is 'Eternal Wheel' and watch them installing Jubeat, my second obsession. Neng will be off early tomorrow and I wonder will I go crazy?
23 JulyWe spent 23rd July at home mostly. Kuan slept all the way till noon and there wasn't much to do and I sleep too little to be of use. We explored Ang Mo Kio and I got Hao to try the curry spaghetti @ Nebo. Of course Hao try out at the machines. We saw 3 machines 'Jackpot', we were in awe. School fees paid off. Hao caught this little thing.

We join Dad at Lorong 8 for 炒果条。Then, usual TV and internet. Sleep comes easier that night.
24 JulyInternet. Hao have some business outside and he settles while Kuan slept the day away. I forgot how the day went but we did not travel far. Whatever.
25 JulyThere wasn't much, just Hao clearing his stuff and all that, we went 鼎泰丰 again. Add this two to the list we ate the other time:

and arcade for some toy catching action. Hao kept missing and Kuan got fed up. I milled around playing games and when I got back to the machine, I find Hao still attempting to catch something. I told him to try other stuff as Kuan came back and he went to the machine Hao tried on. Proves Hao was all kinds of fail cause, "Tan Cher Hao you suck wey~" rang out. Here comes Kuan sashaying over with a toy in his hand. When the coins are all out, we got this:

Then, we went home, pick up the suitcases and I see them off.
I have a nap and then showered to join the ladies for Korean Hot Stone. Freaking nice and near to home. Then settlers. After our usual
'Betrayal at House on the Hill' we tried a new game called Dracula.

The character I use: Mina Harker
We met Andrew there and he looked at me and "Ah!" Seriously, can you remember that I have the member card like before you pay!?! Too bad. LOL The game was so fun we went back for more the very next night after dinner at T.C.C. Speaking of which the new menu will be out soon! 尽请期待!
P.S: I had hell writing this up. If I get any facts wrong, it's because all of these are blurred up and I have a few more entries to write and its 4:46am. I'll just end here then. Till the next entry...

Welcome to Taipei

Great, just great, you tell me we are going to Taipei, but how come the freaking flight is to Hong Kong? LOL Being funny right? CX716, not bad la... But I was so freaking tired I just board the plane and slept. Like a baby, my colleague told me. Well, good thing he got wake me up for food. Another funny thing is, the stewardess thought he was gay. Like where the hell did that come from? But that's what he told me like after we left the airport. Working on a trip sucks. I can't even act like a tourist because we're not. Just rest, enjoy the whirring sound of the CPU fan and we'll kiss Taiwan another night.
Updates: Really to Taipei this time... See you all on the other side, dudes.

Holiday to PJ - Part 2 (Destination reached)
It is now 1am in the morning. 1:21am, 1 October to be exact. We are on our way to Puduraya Bus Station and the jerking bright lights shining through the curtains made me focus on the surroundings. Outside, it was bright, and there are a lot of cars... 'Wait a minute, a lot of cars?' That startled me fully awake. Where the hell in Malaysia has a jam @ 1am in the morning? Well, obviously everywhere and we happened to have drove right into it. Cher Hao called @ 1:06am and I told him we will make it in 30 minutes. We are already nearing Petaling Jaya. Sighz, it was until 1:52 that we continue to move. We are late.
After a long time, @ 2:05 in the morning, we step out of the bus, with cabbies shouting in our faces. "Taxi? Taxi?" Called Cher Hao and finally located Kok Meng waving frantically @ us. Finally, its time for supper~

Holiday to PJ - Part 1 (Journey)
I woke, groggily as the bus came to a stop. Some-where in my mind, it registers as a sign for me to finally go to the toilet. My companions and I slowly made our way down the bus, waiting for the passengers in front. There was no rush, after all, we were not in Singapore anymore.
I wonder why there's always such scurry back there, maybe the pace in Singapore is too hectic. I yearn for the calm, peaceful slow-down, the reason for my trip. I was getting a little too tired of work life and I kind of figured that I need a rest. And that is when I feel a nudge at my back. The man practically glared at me. I sighed, "So much for spacing out."
By now, my companions are already at the provision shop located conviniently near the food court's automated sliding door. I strolled in, even though my brain is reminding me of the bus driver's speech as we alight the bus. "Twenty minutes!" He said with a roll of his tongue. He sounded so very Indian even though he is Malay. Anyway, as I step into the shop, I could distinctly hear R complaining excitedly (believe me, only she could make it sound exciting) about the hygiene of the crackers packed in oily, transparent plastic bags. I start to shop around, looking at the 'little chicken biscuits' and 'egg floss biscuits' that my mother loves so much. I was still deciding if I should buy the biscuits and bring it back to Singapore or should I wait until the trip back home. Just then, my brother, N showed me my favorite 'coffee peanuts'. "That settles it!" I thought, "I'm gonna wait till the return trip..." I know myself very well, if I buy it now, by the time I get back, all will be nothing.
G, was asking around to see if we want to buy anything. Her father gave her a whole bag full of coins and she was hoping we could finish it there. Its really heavy. We bought drinks, actually a 1.5l big bottle of mineral water. And R, after happily nagging me about the different 'pocky' dips available in the shop, settles for a box of chocolate pocky. She also bought some sweets. Well, I should say G paid for all of us and the plastic bag containing the coins is now three quarter's its original weight. And the shop-keeper is smiling at us for giving him so much coins. I pity the next person paying up without exact change.
We board the bus as the bus driver roll his eyes at us. I know we are definately late when I saw all the other passengers already seated. We sit down, had some sweets and let the drone of the traffic lull us to sleep. And thats when I remember, I havent go to the toilet...

Location: Marina Bay MRT, 2nd last cabin, door 18 (blue seats)
KNS guy pissed me off... He did not alight at braddell and yet he took the seat closer to the door over there. Not only that, since I lost that seat... I had to take the seat in front of him... which is too bloody close to that stupid intercom. I couldn't not cover my ears everytime the intercom goes "Door closing. Di Di Di Di Di" Yes, every five Di's.... Subjecting to not only mental torture, also spoiling my nap time (especially since I had a quite stressed day)... causing a huge quarrel with an innocent little cat... That guy, I hope he will be subjected to worst, much worst~

VLE
VLE aka the very long entry. Looking at the last date on this blog, its been almost a whole year since I updated. Being really bad with dates, and having a really lousy memory brings me back here. I need to record it down so I will have something to tell my grand-children next time.
Major events: Well, just notes for me and anyone who's reading. Most wouldnt know what's going on, so dont even bother trying to decipher unless I spent that day with you.
1) Meet up with Jeylne, Nat and Teresa @ NYDC after a day of work in Science Park. Got to know this girl called Apple.
2) Li Jia's Birthday. Sushi @ Esplanade. There's a joke going on bout this guy who, upon his girlfriend sees the bouquet of flowers on Qiang Wei's hand, stomp her feet. Guy later went to buy his girlfriend a stalk of rose... -_-
3)Finished internship. Sorry to Larry, I didnt mean to leave w/o a good-bye~ Good luck for your operation, hope all is well. Gotta thank the guys @ Eli Lily esp Chong En, Dinesh, Wendy... W/O you guys I would have died, thanks for covering my duties, for being there to guide a newbie like me when I messed up and sorry for the troubles. Oh~ and Wendy, congratz again. Good luck with marriage life. Also gotta thank Lee Lan and Kiong Wee from Hub, thanks for the guidance( Lee Lan) and the de-stress sessions (Kiong Wee). Not forgetting Angela, Lawrence, Felix, Chris, Vincent and all not mentioned above~4) Missed Serene coz its her birthday and the start of FYP + she's @ Meta camp
5) Ton night @ Esplanade6) Start of school, FYP group mates w/ 3 different timetables... MST falls on CNY
7) Worked harder, a lot harder this year. Help and friendship from Zan, Nee- Nee, Siti, Sharon, Flo, Jack, Shirleen, Irene, Wilson, ATM and the rest of the gang proves to bring bonds closer and also makes me scored better in subjects. Also gotta thank my FYP members. Im sending in appreciation and apologies: Thanks for slogging like all that left is hell and sorry for making us all slog like... hell. We are great, we are wonderful, even if our LIC might think otherwise~8) Got my results, not very happy but not too sad either. Dont think I could get in to NTU and NUS. Gonna plan whether to continue in this line or persue my dreams. What should I be? Sports teacher, Child-care tutor, Physcologist (those that work for police), Web-designer( dont think so... not enough creativity), Physio-therapist or just and Odd job free lancer?
9) Got into the *Find a job frenzy with close friends like Ser, Cin, Nee, Siti, PC and Dajie. Went for various interviews, even able to get some jobs but some, Dad disapproves, some I dont like. Whats wrong?10) Drinking sessions and shoot outs... Major angst. Comfort is not near when everything go wrong. Feeling down coz my friends are feeling down. Also, wierd *romantic* dinner for 4, near beaches, @ Esplanade and in Taka. Friends got jobs, go jobless, got jobs again etc.
11) Robert's in town. (again)12)Dage's birthday, Cin's birthday. I cried because my perfume bottle broke. Arghz~ MY ADDIDAS!!! *cries* Major silliness. Dajie going on a trip to HK~ Used to think we could go together but couldnt make it in the end. Did a job for Cin's Dad, labels and wrappings and stuff. Earned some cash.
13) Sick and tired of people asking me what I wanna do cause I really dont know either. Faking sleep enough to skip family meeting every Sunday.
14) Rejections after rejections - NUS, NTU, Adelaide, UNSW, QUT and NTU again (appealed and failed)
15) Meet up with Carol since its a long time since we met. Had drinks at Coffee Club and lunch @ Marche. Then went to watch this concert for "Quan Ming Ou Xiang" enjoyed it with Mummi ;) She's going to da Switz for holis... and me to M'sia~ How unfair is life? :P
16) Mother couldn't stand my sad face anymore. Before I get to kill myself, she decided to drag me on my feet by bringing me to M'sia for a trip. It was the 1st time we travelled that by bus ( I mean after I grow up lah~) to and fro. Bought a lot of stuff for my brothers, Father and Mother herself. Got 1 shirt for myself only. Major events during stay includes:Getting to know Zhao Hua Gor more -
I mean I didnt know he could cook. The bee-hoon and mee is just delicious :D And I think we can click more. After all we listen to the same type of music ;)Enjoying the durians -
The last from grand-father's land. I mean no more free durians. Hated the government there for claiming his land just for building stuff. Now I've got nothing more to remember him by except for his smile and the way he used to talk to me~Having breakfast with Bae Por -
Erhm, also get to see the wet market in Selangor... Its interesting.Going to KL again -
Getting to enjoy talking to Cher Hao in the cable car and seeing his first sunset inside. Sitting near the roadside in the middle of no where in Genting at 2am in the moring. This made every car that pass us by looked our way. Staying on Mid-hill instead of First World or Genting Hotel. Having the talk with Auntie Maggie about life and death. I remember this most, "The reason for being humourous is because I had learned to laugh at myself." That was when we were having lunch @ Ah Yat in some big hotel in KL. The slow connection speed of the internet there, the "blue hippo" jokes, the short cosplay, that song we sung (Come What May), that 2 movies we watched, talking bout guitars. Talking to Kuan. I just realised I missed KL so much.Back @ Selangor -
More durians, this time from this China looking pair of brothers. Very honest, and their durians tasted really good.Bonding session -
This is really crazy. On our last day in Melaka, Mother and I when crazy due to vcds, cds and roaches. We "catches" mothballs and roaches @ 3am in the morning. Realised a lot of stuff from that... In the end I slept till 12.Leaving Melaka -
Again by bus, watched re-runs of "Wang Sha and Ye Feng" and "Mr Bean". Had a great time. Kept noticing this les couple sitting 3 seats digonally in front of me. The bung later confront me when we were taking a break after crossing Singapore custom. She's Malaysian and she's here with her girl-friend on a holiday *winks*. We smoked together and after that board the bus. My mother doesnt know. Oh~ and I forgot to ask for her name and addy... SighzBack in SG -
Had a really fabulous dinner with my family. Not because of the food, but the company.17) Looking for jobs to past the time and waiting for Jason and Cher Hao to call me since they are coming to Singapore. And Cher Hao!?! Explanations are due okie? And when the hell are you gonna get your butt down here?18) Some guy named Gidanz defamed me on Maple!!! (If I find him, I'm gonna kill him)
19) Organised a trip to the Cosplay event... Pity Jason cant make it. I am thinking of sending the pic only to Jason just to make Cher Hao feel bad. What do you think Jas? :P Anyway, highly pressured. Pic needed to be sent to Jas, Hao, Tsuki, Cin, Feng... after event.
20) Met Jason. Cant believe SG is so small. He actually meet two of his friends when we were out on that 2 days. Should have taken pics but... well? I will let Jas update on the trips, cant steal his spotlight since he's gonna write a journal about it right? Uploaded all the pic we took on the last day of his trip. Hope he enjoys his stay.
21) Interview on Tues to work as admin in St Margret's Pri. Dunnoe if I'll get it but hey, I'm trying out any way. Also sms Sharon bt the distri thing. Waiting for reply. Excited for Sunday's event.
22) Sms-ed Carol, I think I need to prepare myself for work life. I decided to ask if we could go on a trip, Ubin, Sister's Island, Kusu, Batam.. Wanna go there to hike and take in the natural side of Singapore.
23) Organising a meet up session. PC had Thai boxing, Ser is okay with Tues, Cindy is okay unless a meeting held her up last min and dajie havent reply... -_-!!! So now what?
There you have it. An update of my life. Yesh~ and its really long... -_-*

OMG Crazy day. Got up early to go Sentosa. *laughz at the excitement of finding 'nemo' in UnderWater World. Note: If Singaporeans go there, show ur IC. Coz you will have discounts ;)
Had a wonderful time coz obviously the kids enjoyed themselves and Auntie Cheryl is feeling much better now. We had a big feast tonight. (Im so glad that its just Malaysian food that their intestines cant take. Well, after all, SG food is so much cleaner =D) Man!!! I never know Kayla can take so much prawns! She love prawns! *look at all the prawn shellings on her side of the table* *sweat* Well, not all of the family members are present coz Jeremy complained that we went shopping w/ him. *nah. he complained becoz he did not get the toy he wanted.* So, my Dad, Mum and uncle when to get'im some.
So, after leaving little Lily (who had grown so attached to me,) Maelynn, Kayla, Joshua and I left to go to.... Esplanade!!! At the station, we went havoc coz Kayla was suddenly doing ballet and I told her that there are survelliance cameras ard the plateform. She starts to make faces at them!?! Laughz....
