Why the title? Well, the story starts like this:
It was a boring day, and Iden was supposed to work on that day. Weird, thought the last episodes shows him telling his boss, "I don't really want to celebrate it in a big way, but at least let me have a off time that day." Oh well, guess what? Not only is it forgotten, ( I mean the comment) it was a Saturday and he still have to work. So, knowing that some friends will organise something on that day, he started early. Got up at 5am to check through stuff. Not his fault that there's nothing on is there? Anyway, his friends didn't know, and they went out in the morning, screaming his frustrations away. Went to the office in the afternoon thinking he could get some work done. Jolly no! Some -ahem- people decided to do renovations in that area. And Iden means right in front of his desk!
To say he was pissed was an understatement. After all, he got calls from colleagues asking him why he's not online working. Well, that finally made him blew his top. Made his way to the location he was supposed to meet his friends for dinner. But since he's too damn early he settled down for some work. Obviously Starbucks would not let him connect to wireless for nothing. That and the fact that stupid people think its fun to sit on the chairs even though their kids could not play on water that day. (They were having street basketball competition.)
Iden ended up in MOS. The only good part seemed to be the fact that he met an old friend from secondary school. Waited for his buddies to turn up and had a reasonably well birthday party. Well of course you had to take away that few facts that:
1) Someone is late.
2) The only surprise almost ended up as a disappointment.
3) Despite blatant provoking, someone is still oblivious.
4) The mood just wasn't there.
So, poor Iden ended up pretty disappointed on his birthday and had to work on a Sunday ( to cover back the time he wasted on that worthless day.)
Well, what has that got to do with the title? Everything.
More than one month later, something about birthdays happened. Okay, it open wounds and hurts Iden a lot. Obviously people around here treat Iden as a piece of glass, transparent until either they need it or when they bump into it causing themselves to be hurt.(meaning need to blame him)
Feeling: Broken
Tis no wonder, thou art hides ole' yonder.
Thy heart shattered, glass shards abundant.
Desensitized thy feelings, solidify thy mind.
Till death bring peace and let hurts rests,
Mind where thee steps in this wretched land.Well, same old same old. By me, steal and thou art shalt be dealt with damnation.
